Apple iOS 15.4 Will Be A Gamechanger For Security Features – Know What’s Hot
Apple iOS updates have always brought some very intriguing and interesting add-ons in the past and they’ve gone a step further with the beta version for iOS 15.4. The new iPhone update brings onboard new security features, which makes you track your device activity and see what is happening with the various logins.
The iPhone is one of the most privacy-focused smartphones in the market and among the safest to use. Part of the reason for that is regular updates and long-lasting support. Let us explore the changes, which new users might get in the coming months.
What’s New With iOS 15.4
Apple’s new iOS 15.4 beta adds support for using Face ID unlock when you are wearing a mask. More testing has shown that the feature also works with Apple Pay, too.

Face ID & Other Upgrades
Apple made its first developer beta of iOS 15.4 available last week and the standout feature, at least initially, was the addition of support for using Face ID even when wearing a face mask. That’s a huge deal, but it turns out things actually go a step further with the beta installed. You can even use Apple Pay while wearing a mask, too.
According to Apple’s official spokesperson, the new iPhone feature recognizes “unique features” around an individual’s eyes to authenticate his/her identity. You will need to rescan your face for Face ID, but it’s more than worth it if you remove the need to use your Apple Watch or passcode to open your iPhone. Makes it pretty straightforward and convenient.
iPhone Password Manager Update
Along with the Face ID the new update caters to the iPhone Password Manager, which covers the most important aspects of your device’s security. It was believed that there was a flaw in the way iPhone Password Manager stored and saved passwords and this new update will fix that flaw for once and for all. If you’ve been a regular user you’d remember seeing saved passwords without any username. This happens because of some websites asking for a username and then following up with a password request. The new, beta version, will help Safari complete these actions separately.
Most of these highlights and updates have not been mentioned in the notes released by Apple but you can check the entire sequence of updates, here.
2FA Update & Response Time
Just like the other updates on their previously allocated features, Apple has also laid emphasis on their 2-factor authentication code generator, which they added in 2021. In the latest, beta, update 2FA comes with a new option and works better than before.
With the latest version of iOS and iPadOS currently being 15.3, the release date for iOS 15.4 beta version should be somewhere in the first week of March. You can download iOS 15.4 beta by heading to Settings > General > Software Update.
