Apple March Event 2021: All You Need to Know
Apple’s much-awaited March event is just around the corner. And, if rumour mills are to be believed, the tech giant is all set to launch a handful of all-new devices this spring.
Curious to know about the Apple March event and iDevices that are lined up for release? We have got you covered with a fair amount of sneak peeks. While every Apple event is significant in its own way, the upcoming event is special (more on it later). With the little premise out of the way, let’s dive straight into the list of Apple devices that will be launched at the Apple March event this year.
After almost a decade, Apple is finally set to introduce an iMac with a brand-new design. The desktop Mac will sport trimmed down bezels and a flat back. It comes in two variants.
While the bigger model will have a large 30-32″ display, the smaller variant will sport a 23-25″ display. Design aside, the 2021 iMac will come with Apple Silicon and is expected to deliver industry-leading performance.
In the backdrop of the strong demand from Mac fans to give a redesign to iMac, Apple had stressed last year that Macs remain at the core of its heart and the company is soon going to overhaul the entire lineup of macOS devices. If the arrival of the custom designed silicone M1 last year was a sign of something big to come, the launch of the all-new iMac is shaping to be monumental. It’s this euphoria surrounding the M1 Mac that makes this year’s Apple March event special.
iPhone SE Plus
Unlike before, Apple is eager to offer relatively-affordable iDevices with robust specs. If the arrival of iPhone SE 2 last year was a masterstroke, the introduction of iPhone SE Plus will be nothing less than a solid knock-out punch.

Rumour has it, iPhone SE Plus will feature a large 5.5″ screen and larger battery that will deliver plenty of battery life. What more? The entry-level iPhone will also be powered by the A-Series chip and will come with a dual-camera.
12.9″ and 11″ iPad Pros
Another device that is touted to launch at the spring event is the new iPad Pro. The tablet will continue to be available in two screen sizes—12.9″ and 11″. Moreover, it will come with a mini-LED display that is more energy-efficient. Besides conserving more energy, the mini-LED display does not face burn-in issues like the OLED display.
Display aside, the new iPad Pro will feature the long-awaited under-screen Touch ID and a more powerful A-Series chip. Additionally, it will also have much-improved cameras and AR capability.
iPad mini 6/iPad 9
While the iPad mini has always been quite impressive, the tablet had never boasted high-end specs. However, the trend seems to be changing this time around.
Based on several leaks and reliable sources, the iPad mini 6 is going to be a massive upgrade. The iPad will flaunt a larger 8.5-9-inch mini-LED display and the under-screen Touch ID. With the all-screen display, the mini will have a modern-looking design.
As for iPad 9, it will see minor improvements. The entry-level iPad will continue to have a 10.2″ display. Besides, it will come with the last generation A-Series chip and slightly improved cameras.
New Apple TV
Apple is also geared up to launch the new Apple TV with an advanced processor and a redesigned Apple TV remote that is said to come with a Find My-like feature that will enable the remote to be tracked down when it is lost or misplaced within the house.
Rumours suggest that the new Apple TV will come in two variants. While one will be equipped with an A12 chip, the other will come with an A14X chip.
AirPods 3/AirPods Pro 2
With around 50% market share, AirPods have been ruling the market with unmatched domination. Despite being so popular, AirPods is not perfect in all aspects. One of the drawbacks of wireless earphones is the lack of ergonomic design.
Apple is expected to upgrade the design of the original AirPods. For a change, it will look quite similar to AirPods Pro. However, AirPods 3 will not feature the Active Noise Cancellation technology.
As for AirPods Pro 2, it is touted to feature a bit more compact form-factor. Besides, it will also come with the latest iteration of the H1 chip that will deliver an enhanced ANC and music-listening experience.
There you go! These are the devices that are lined up for the upcoming March/Spring event.
