Apple Watch Series 8: Specs, Features, Design and Other Leaks
Ever since Apple Watch Series 7 was announced in Apple’s ‘California Streaming’ event, rumours about the next-generation Apple Watch Series 8 started making rounds across the Internet; that too for a good reason. There were many rumours, leaked images, and speculations about Series 7, with many experts predicting a new design. When the watch was released, there were no design changes and this made people think that perhaps the design changes will occur in the next generation.
However, as per the latest CAD render leak, the story seems to be completely different from what people were expecting. But before diving deep into the design aspect, let’s see some of the Apple Watch 8 features and specs.

Specs and Features
One of the biggest areas of focus for Apple Watches of any generation has been the health and fitness features. The Series 8 watch could also come with features such as blood pressure monitoring, sleep tracking, thermometer for fertility, blood sugar tracker, sleep apnea and more. Users can stay on top of their health issues with this watch.
For blood glucose monitoring, Apple is working on developing non-invasive methods such as the use of an optical sensor or short wavelength infra-red sensors. Other sources state that Apple has developed an advanced digital sensor that is capable of enabling multiple health tracking features. This sensor can track core body temperature, body hydrations, alcohol, lactate, blood pressure, glucose trends and more.
Rumours claim there will be a crash detection feature that would measure spikes in gravitational force with the help of a gyroscope and detect if there’s been an accident.

Apple Watch Series 8 Design

Image renders and CAD files from a source suggest that the new Apple Watch won’t feature a design update and will look exactly like the previous generations. There will be a curved display along with curved edges in the new Apple Watch Series 8, just like there was in Series 7.
As per the leaked images, the only noticeable change in the design is the addition of one more speaker grille on the side. Now there will be two speaker grilles instead of one and that might be the only design change the Cupertino-based tech giant will come up with.
However, the source also claimed that colour options could increase as they saw the Watch Series 8 in a light green shade. The colour is similar to that of iPad Air’s and suggests that there can be even more colour options. Apart from this, there are also rumours that the new Apple Watch could be available in three different sizes instead of just two.

What Else Do We Know?
Apple has maintained a consistent track record for launching newer versions of Apple Watches ever since the first one was released. Building upon that tradition, it is highly likely that the Apple Watch Series 8 release date will also be September of next year. The Apple Watch 8 Series price is also expected to follow their predecessors with just a minor increase compared to Apple Watch 7. Apple Watch Os 8 could also be upgraded to a newer version.
Apple has mastered the art of secrecy when it comes to their products and is an expert in hiding what they are building and what changes will be present in new product launches. It happened with the Watch Series 7 as well. So, take these rumours and leaks about Apple Watch Series 8 with a pinch of salt. Even though there are renders for the new Apple Watch Series 8, it is our advice to not think of it as the final version of the device and wait for the Apple Watch Series 8 release date before making any buying decisions.
