iPhone 14 – Everything New Apple Will Get Onboard This September With Their Flagship
What’s the most intriguing part about Apple’s yearly menu? Well, without a doubt it is the new wave of September iPhone lineups that gets every techlicious soul out there excited and running. With Apple, there’s always scope for out of the box last-minute (or should we say, last gig) additions and people crave everything from the new sizing of the various devices on their menu in 2022 to the updates that come with the superior camera setup they upgrade every year. Coming to 2022 – what’s new with the iPhone 14 and how much do we already know, let’s get a quick recap!
The Expected Features of iPhone 14
No notch is the holy grail and Apple’s mastered it – as they say – and we expect nothing less to be honest. The expected features, apart from the no notch setup, will be expected in the 6.7 and 6.1-inch models.
Boasting an A16 chip, the Qualcomm X65 modem-loaded, iPhone 14 will feature a notchless display and at the reverse side users will get a pill-shaped camera cutout back without any rear camera bump, interesting isn’t it?

iPhone 14, At The First Glance
You can notice the hole-punch camera and the notchless display if you’ve already picked up some leaked or rumored photos of this year’s flagship device for Apple but if you’re a believer of good-old surprises then you might be saddened to know that iPhone sizes will drastically change in 2022. The iPhone Mini, after a poor and unpopular review from customers, is being shelved and we’re going to see bigger sizes of iPhones in the coming years if things are to be put into the size perspective.
Apple is planning to focus on larger iPhone sizes for its flagship devices, and we’re expecting to see a 6.1-inch iPhone 14, a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, and a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max.
What More?
The Face ID Might Go Away
Yes, the Face ID feature, which is regarded as Apple’s scanning and unlocking feature since 2017, will see some changing and replacing come September, 2022.
The 2022 iPhone 14 Pro models are expected to eliminate the notch in favor of a new design. Rumors are a bit mixed right now, but it looks like Apple will go with a combination of a circular hole-punch cutout for the camera paired with a pill-shaped cutout to house key Face ID components. This feature will unfortunately be limited to the Pro models, and the standard iPhone 14 models will continue to feature a standard notch.
Thicker Body & Titanium Frame
The durability of iPhones has been questioned since forever but times are changing in this cordon and Apple iPhone 14 Pro models might have a thicker frame made of titanium. Redesigned speakers and microphone grills are also proposed by some corners, which are highly likable considering the premium price of the Pro models.
Camera Improvements – Greater Optical Zoom With Periscope
Each year we’ve seen some exceptional improvements come our way when it comes to the cameras. This year won’t be an exception too, it is believed that the iPhone 14 Pro models will introduce a periscope lens to focus on optical zoom better and you can see some changes to the Ultra-wide lens along with the periscope zoom lens upgradation.
The Pro iPhone 14 models may get a power of 48 MP cameras with 8K video recording capabilities. Mind you, iPhone 14 will most probably have A15 bionic chips where the Pro models will have the A16 chip.

5G Connectivity Guaranteed
As mentioned in the article earlier, the force of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X65 chip, which is the first 10-gigabit 5G modem to be used for greater connectivity, will help get the iPhone 14 devices 5G connectivity – a towering signal that spirals us to the modern times we live in and will come ahead in 2022.
Pro-Motion Display & Other Features
It was expected that all iPhone 14 versions will have a ProMotion display with 120Hz refresh rate but that turned out to be untrue. The 120Hz refresh rate is going to be an iPhone 14 Pro feature now official sources have suggested.
Cooling Systems
Ever since other big smartphone giants have started using systems to keep their device cooler under heavy stress and usage, Apple’s yet out of the game as things stand. But that might change in September 2022. It is unclear if the vapor chamber thermal system, believed to be the savior for other smartphone giants, will meet Apple’s high requirements, but Apple is working on improving it and high-end models could adopt it in the near future.
This will enhance the iPhone’s ability to perform during heavy stress and high temperature conditions.
There are other rumors, like a car-crash detection feature for the iPhone 14 and new Apple watch series and a 2TB storage option, doing the rounds but things will be clearer as we come close to this year’s mega Apple event. Stay tuned for more iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 updates here.
