OnePlus 8T and 8T Pro: Rumours, Leaks & Feature Details
Though the OnePlus T models have always been minor upgrades, the OnePlus 8T, and OnePlus 8T Pro are likely to be huge in terms of specs. Going by the leaks, the next iterations of OnePlus 8 will give a good run to rivals like iPhone 12. If you are willing to catch up with all the rumoured features, let’s take a glance at OnePlus 8T and 8T Pro leaks!
Design and Display
In terms of design, OnePlus 8T, and OnePlus 8T Pro will sport a striking similarity with OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. That means the smartphone will feature the curved display and punch-hole front camera of the current phones.
While the standard OnePlus 8 features 6.55-inch FHD OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, OnePlus 8 Pro comes with 6.78-inch QHD OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate. If rumour mills are to be believed, OnePlus will introduce 120Hz refresh rate even on the standard OnePlus 8T smartphone.
Considering how big a deal 120Hz refresh rate has become for gamers and those who prefer to have an incredibly smooth and snappier screen, OnePlus 8T could be in for plenty of appreciation.

Much-Improved 64MP Main Camera
While we don’t expect huge upgrades in the camera department, we can surely bet on a lot of enhancements. According to several rumours, OnePlus is all geared up to fit a 64MP main camera to the 8T series, up from the 8 series’ 48MP sensors.
Notably, some lines of code found in the latest OnePlus Camera v5.4.23 app have also revealed interesting details about the OnePlus 8T camera. As per the leaks, the brand will take advantage of pixel binning to reduce noise and offer a better dynamic range.
The software is reported to use the sensor’s full 64-megapixel resolution to render highly detailed shots. The leaks further suggest that the camera app will not support 64-megapixel burst mode shots.
For the folks who want OnePlus smartphones to be on par with the best in the business in terms of camera quality, they would be glad to see the introduction of a 64MP main camera.

Knowing OnePlus’ flagship devices have always got the top-of-the-line processors, it is no brainer to guess the processor that will power the OnePlus 8T Series.

Battery/Fast Charging/Wireless Charging
The latest Engineering Mode app found in the Android 11 beta for OnePlus 8 Series has revealed a whopping 65W Super Warp Charge, which will be launched alongside OnePlus 8T Series devices. It will be a massive upgrade from the 30W charging found on the OnePlus 8 Series devices.
As per reports, OnePlus 65W Super Warp Charge will charge devices at 10V/6.5A, as compared to the 5V/6A charging speed delivered by the current 30W fast charging technology. That means 65W fast charging can power up the OnePlus 8 Pro’s 4510mAh battery in less than 30 minutes.

What We Want to See in OnePlus 8T & 8T Pro
There are quite a few things that we would like to see in OnePlus 8T and 8T Pro smartphones. First and foremost, we want OnePlus to offer wireless charging and IP rating for the standard model as well.
Considering the high price tag that the standard model warrants, it would be better if OnePlus offers all the essential features. Besides, we would also appreciate it if the company makes the cameras on par with the likes of Pixels and iPhones. At least on par with iPhone SE 2020.
