Stock Web Browser
While watchOS is a complete operating system, it lacks a native web browser. But that is going to change come watchOS 8. Several rumours have suggested that the upcoming watchOS version will be equipped with a stock browser called (you guessed it!) Safari. The watchOS browser will be pretty lightweight and allow users to input search terms through voice and gesture-based keyboard.
Native Apple Notes App
Interesting ideas tend to strike when we expect them the least. Therefore, it would be apt to finally equip the upcoming watchOS version with a native Notes app. Some reports have suggested that Apple is going to introduce a stock note-taking app for watchOS 8.
As you may have already guessed, the Notes app for watchOS 8 will have a striking similarity with the already-existing note-taking app for iOS. It will allow users to jot down thoughts in multiple ways such as speech and text.

Even since the Always-on display arrived on Apple Watch Series 5, we have loved using it. What makes this feature so useful is the ability to show time and the most recent app without draining the battery.

watchOS 8 is going to further enhance the Always-On display feature by adding some cool customisation into the mix. According to rumours, you will be able to show your favourite app along with complications on the screen.
Support for Complications in Control Centre
watchOS control centre hasnot been revamped for a long time. However, the watchOS 8 is likely to make it more user-friendly by adding support for complications. If it happens to be the case, you will be able to show preferred information like weather and air quality index in the control centre.
Face/Touch ID for Apple Watch
Unlike iPhone, Apple Watch doesn’t feature any biometric authentication which is disappointing, to say the least. Considering that very people like to type password/passcode time and time, Apple is giving serious consideration to incorporating a Face/Touch ID on Apple Watch. If that happens to be true, you will be able to unlock your smartwatch and authenticate purchases through hassle-free facial or fingerprint authentication.
It is said that Apple will incorporate Touch ID into the Digital Crown. Since Digital Crown already performs a handful of essential tasks including activating Siri, integrating Touch ID into it shouldn’t be a big deal for the Cupertino-based company.
