Apple Watch Won’t Turn On: Pro Tips to Fix the Issue

Imagine this – you are at the gym, just completed an awesome workout, and want to check how many calories you’ve burned for the day. You tap your Apple Watch and the screen doesn’t light up. You tap the button but still nothing happens. If you’re thinking about why your Apple Watch won’t turn on and are worried if it is damaged, then fret not, this article will help you.

While this is not a common issue that a lot of Apple Watch users face, there are several tips that you can use to fix this issue on your own. First, you need to understand that there can be several reasons why your Apple Watch screen won’t turn on even after repeated screen tapping and button pressing. It could be due to hardware problems, software issues, a faulty battery, or even cluttered storage. Let’s look at every possible reason one by one and try to turn on your Apple Watch.

Force Restart Your Apple Watch

Force restart has long been the first step to try when it comes to dealing with most of the common issues. And guess what, we are not going to overlook it even this time around. Don’t know how to restart an Apple Watch? Don’t worry, it is quite simple and there is no harm in trying it out.

While it may sound silly at first, one of the biggest reasons why your new Apple Watch won’t turn on is maybe because your Apple Watch’s battery has run too low or drained out. Put your smartwatch on a charger and let it charge for some time. Once the smartwatch has got enough juice, it will boot up automatically.

If your Apple Watch turns on and starts behaving normally, you are good to go.

Put Your Apple Watch on a Charger

Maybe your Apple Watch’s battery has run too low and it is not turning on due to the drained out battery. Put your smartwatch on a charger and let it charge for some time. Once the smartwatch has got enough juice, it will boot up automatically.

Is the VoiceOver and Screen Curtain Turned On?

Apple Watch has a unique feature that a lot of users can find problematic. The Screen Curtain feature of your iPhone will turn off the screen even when the watch is turned on. In this case, the user can navigate the Apple Watch only through the VoiceOver feature.

If your Apple Watch screen won’t turn on, then these features might be the reason why. For the Screen Curtain feature to work, the VoiceOver feature must be turned on as well. You can go to the Watch app on your iPhone, navigate to General > Accessibility > VoiceOver and turn it off. You can go inside the VoiceOver menu to turn off the Screen Curtain feature as well.

Erase Your Apple Watch and Pair it with iPhone Again

Wondering why you should erase your Apple Watch if the device is unable to turn on? Well, the reason is that it is considered as a one-stop solution. What’s more? It has the knack for fixing even complex issues. So, go for this radical yet reliable troubleshooting option to resolve the “Apple Watch won’t turn on” issue.

Navigate to the Watch app on your iPhone > General. Scroll down to the bottom and tap on Reset. Next, tap on Erase All Content and Settings. Once you have successfully erased your Apple Watch, reconnect it to your iPhone. If the Watch was not responding or display was dead due to some software bug, that is normally fixed by resetting and your Watch should be back on the setup screen, ready to be paired once again.

Ensure that the Cable Works

One more reason why your Apple Watch won’t turn on could be because it has run out of juice and the magnetic cable is not charging it as well. This is a scenario that will require a bit of trial and error from your side. To pinpoint whether the charger is faulty or the Apple Watch, try charging it with the same cable but from different outlets. First from an Apple adapter, then your computer’s USB port, and then from another adapter. If it can’t turn on the Apple Watch, then the cable might be faulty. Try changing the cable and repeat the steps again.

If changing the magnetic charging cable works and your Apple Watch is covered by AppleCare+, you can apply for a free replacement or go to the nearest Apple Store and get it replaced right away.

Bonus Tips to Fix the Apple Watch running Slow or lagging while usage

  • Maybe your smartwatch is short of space; redundant photos (which you have synced from your iPhone) and a ton of music stored on your Apple Watch along with a plethora of useless apps may have clogged up the storage. Knowing that cluttered storage tends to create many issues, including unexpected battery drain and overheating, it will be best to declutter your Apple Watch.
  • To clean up your Apple Watch, eliminate everything that has eaten into the precious storage of your device unnecessarily. Once the smartwatch has been cleaned up, it should start functioning properly.
  • Bear in mind that the problem could also be due to outdated software, in which case you can solve the problem simply by updating the watchOS from Settings – General – Software Update.

If Nothing Works Contact Apple Watch Repair Centre

If you’ve changed the magnetic cable, re-paired it with your iPhone, and even tried turning off the VoiceOver and Screen Curtain features and still your Apple Watch won’t turn on, then there might be an internal hardware issue that is causing the problem. Apple Watch Digital Crown Not Working – Guide Before Going For Repair

The Apple Watch Digital Crown serves as a vital input mechanism and offers several important functions that contribute to the overall user experience when using Apple’s smartest and most convenient wearable. Apart from facing certain issues due to regular use, the Apple watch digital crown scrolling by itself is a glitch that users might experience from time to time.

Source: Apple Insider

Before heading to a repair expert near you, for a viable Apple watch digital crown replacement service, you must first understand the essential reasons why your digital crown is the key to a successful and smooth operation of the Apple watch in general.

Here are some key reasons why the Digital Crown is essential:

  1. Scrolling and Navigation: The Digital Crown allows users to scroll through lists, messages, notifications, and other on-screen content without obstructing the display with their fingers. It provides precise control for scrolling vertically or horizontally, making navigation effortless and efficient.
  2. Zooming and Interaction: By rotating the Digital Crown, users can zoom in and out on maps, photos, webpages, and other content, providing a more immersive experience. Additionally, it serves as an alternative input method for interacting with various elements, such as adjusting sliders or making selections, enhancing usability and accessibility.

Source: Switch

  1. Home Button Alternative: With the introduction of the Apple Watch Series 4 and later models, the Digital Crown has become an alternative to the physical Home button. A single press on the Digital Crown brings you back to the watch face, offering a convenient way to access the main interface and switch between apps.
  2. Siri Activation: Pressing and holding the Digital Crown activates Siri, Apple’s voice assistant. This allows users to perform a wide range of tasks on their Apple Watch, including setting reminders, sending messages, initiating phone calls, and controlling smart home devices, all through voice commands.
  3. Water Lock Feature: The Digital Crown’s design plays a crucial role in maintaining the water resistance of the Apple Watch. It uses a sealing mechanism to prevent water from entering the device when submerged or exposed to moisture. This feature enables users to track workouts, swim, and engage in water-related activities while wearing their Apple Watch. This feature enables locking the screen watch under water and ejects water, by rotating the crown, when the user comes out of water.
  4. Customizable Functions: Apple provides developers with the ability to leverage the Digital Crown’s input capabilities in their apps. This allows for unique and innovative interactions tailored to specific applications, such as scrolling through a timeline, adjusting settings, or controlling media playback.

Apple Watch Crown Not Working – Reasons

Now that you know the importance of a fully-functioning digital crown in your Apple Watch, let us understand the reasons why you would want to go for a replacement in the first place. A few signs might be obvious but you would want to be sure before sending your watch for repair to an expert. If your Apple Watch Digital Crown is not working, there could be several reasons behind the issue. Here are some possible causes why your Apple watch digital crown is stuck:

Source 9to5Mac

  1. Software Glitch: Sometimes, a software glitch can cause the Digital Crown to stop working. Try restarting your Apple Watch by pressing and holding the side button until you see the power off slider. Then, drag the slider to turn off the device. After a few seconds, press and hold the side button again until the Apple logo appears to turn it back on.
  2. Debris or Dirt: The Digital Crown may not function properly if there is debris or dirt stuck around it. Gently clean the Digital Crown and the area around it using a soft, lint-free cloth. You can also try using compressed air to remove any particles that might be affecting its movement.
  3. Water Damage: If your Apple Watch has been exposed to water or moisture, it’s possible that it could affect the Digital Crown’s functionality. Sometimes due to the water lock feature getting turned off by the crown’s rotation, there can be damage to the entire watch including the crown as the water will not be ejected out in such a case. Apple Watch Series 2 and later models are designed to be water-resistant, but excessive exposure to water or submerging it beyond the recommended depth can cause issues. In such cases, it’s best to contact Apple Support for assistance.

  1. Physical Damage: If your Apple Watch has experienced a significant impact or drop, it’s possible that the Digital Crown’s internal components have been damaged. In this situation, you may need to have it repaired by Apple or an authorised service provider.
  2. Software Update: Ensure that your Apple Watch has the latest software updates installed. Sometimes, new software updates address known issues and may resolve problems with the Digital Crown.
  3. Settings or Accessibility Options: Check your Apple Watch settings to ensure that the Digital Crown function is not disabled or assigned to a different action. Additionally, if you have any accessibility options enabled, make sure they are not affecting the Digital Crown’s behaviour.

The iPhone 11 Auto-Restart Issue: Why It Occurs & Ways To Fix

The iPhone 11, a big leap in the age of iPhones especially after the success of the iPhone X and iPhone XR models, has been quite a rage due to its cost-effectiveness and the new tech that it brings along in that price range. But recently, users have complained about the iPhone 11 auto-restart problem that’s causing quite a stir in the tech and Apple community. In this blog today, we’re going to focus on the few important reasons why iPhone 11 keeps restarting itself and then we will move on to a few basic iPhone 11 restart loop fixes that you can try at home.

Source: Trusted Reviews

Don’t worry if that doesn’t work, you can contact the best experts in your city and ask them to come to your doorsteps, collect your device, get it fixed, and then return it to you as easily as you like. Let’s start by knowing what can exactly cause this issue and what are the chances of your iPhone 11 facing a similar problem in the coming days and months.

iPhone 11 Auto-Restart Issue – Why Does It Happens?

There can be several reasons why an iPhone 11 might keep auto-restarting itself. Some possible causes include:

Source: HT City

  1. Software issues: A software glitch or a bug in the operating system can cause unexpected behavior, including auto-restarting. Updating to the latest version of iOS can often resolve such issues.
  2. App conflicts: Certain apps or combinations of apps might conflict with the operating system, leading to instability and auto-restarts. Try identifying any recently installed apps or apps that were running when the issue started, and consider uninstalling or updating them.
  3. Hardware problems: In some cases, a hardware issue can cause the iPhone to restart on its own. This could be related to the battery, power management, or other internal components. If you suspect a hardware problem, it’s best to contact Apple Support or visit an authorized service provider for assistance. To find out whether your device has a hardware issue or not, you can go to Settings > Analytics > Analytics Data and check for the list of error logs. If the logs say panic then your iPhone has a hardware issue.
  4. Overheating: If the iPhone 11 gets too hot, it may automatically restart as a safety measure. Ensure that you are not using the device in extreme temperatures or exposing it to direct sunlight for extended periods. Also, check if the restarts occur more frequently during resource-intensive tasks like gaming or running demanding apps.
  5. Battery-related issues: If the battery health is degraded or if there is an issue with the battery itself, it may cause the iPhone to restart unexpectedly. Check the battery health in the settings (Settings > Battery > Battery Health) and consider replacing the battery if necessary.

Now that we know what triggers the iPhone 11 restart issue, let us check a few basic troubleshooting options.

iPhone 11 Auto Restarting: Troubleshooting Steps

If you’re experiencing an issue with your iPhone 11 where it’s auto-restarting, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem:

Source: YouTube

  1. Update your iPhone: Make sure your device is running the latest version of iOS. To check for updates, go to Settings > General > Software Update.
  2. Restart your iPhone: Perform a manual restart by pressing and holding the Side/Power button along with either volume button until the “Slide to power off” slider appears. Slide it to turn off your iPhone, and then press and hold the Side/Power button again until the Apple logo appears.
  3. Reset all settings: Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. This will reset all your settings to their default values without deleting your data. Note that you’ll need to reconfigure your preferences afterward.
  4. Restore from backup: If the iPhone 11 auto-restarting issue persists, you can try restoring your iPhone from a previous backup using iTunes or Finder on a computer. Connect your iPhone to the computer, open iTunes/Finder, select your device, and choose the “Restore Backup” option.
  5. Contact Apple Support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it’s recommended to contact Apple Support or visit an Apple Store for further assistance. They can provide more specific guidance or arrange a repair if necessary.

Remember to back up your important data regularly, especially before attempting any troubleshooting steps that involve resetting or restoring your device. Apart from these troubleshooting options, you can try these steps if you’re stuck with an iPhone 11 loop and need an instant iPhone 11 loop fix to get rid of the mess. Here are a few plausible options to use before ultimately taking your iPhone 11 to an expert repair service:

iPhone 11 Loop Fix – Viable Options

If your iPhone 11 is stuck in a restart loop, where it keeps restarting continuously without reaching the home screen, you can try the following steps to fix the issue:

Source: Insider News

  1. Force restart: Perform a force restart by quickly pressing and releasing the Volume Up button, followed by the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side/Power button until you see the Apple logo. This action may break the restart loop and allow your iPhone to boot normally.
  2. Connect to a computer: Connect your iPhone 11 to a computer using a Lightning cable and open iTunes (or Finder on macOS Catalina and later). If prompted, choose to Trust the computer. iTunes or Finder may detect your iPhone in recovery mode and offer to restore it.
  3. Restore via recovery mode/DFU mode: If the force restart doesn’t resolve the issue, you can try putting your iPhone into recovery mode and then restore it. Here’s how:
    • Connect your iPhone to a computer.
    • Force restart your iPhone by quickly pressing and releasing the Volume Up button, followed by the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side/Power button until you see the recovery mode screen (iTunes/Finder icon and a cable).
    • In iTunes or Finder, you should see a prompt saying there’s a problem with the iPhone and offering options to Update or Restore. Choose the Restore option.

Apple’s New 14-Inch iPad Ultra Things To Know

Ever since the craze of the iPad Pro enthralled the youth and aged alike, most techlicious people have been dreaming about the Apple iPad Ultra. According to reports, Apple is considering releasing an even more powerful iPad Pro tablet, which will also be significantly larger than recent 12.9-inch models. Dubbed the iPad Pro Max or the iPad Ultra, the tablet is rumoured to feature a 14.1-inch display and an Apple M3 Pro chipset. The device is thought to be the closest alternative to a MacBook yet, in part thanks to Apple porting many macOS features to iPadOS.

New Release in 2024 – Apple iPad Ultra & Upgraded Apple iPad Pro

Apparently, Apple is working towards releasing a third iPad Pro model that will be even larger than the current 12.9-inch edition. Reports say the company continues to develop a 14.1-inch version. Contrary to earlier leaks, this 14.1-inch model will house the Apple M3 Pro and not just the entry-level Apple M3.

Source: Twitter

Currently thought of as the Apple iPad Pro Max or the iPad Pro Ultra, the tablet is not expected to land until 2024. In principle, recent iPad Pro tablets could serve as effective MacBook replacements, but for iPadOS. The same leaker adds that Apple will seek to rectify these shortcomings by porting ‘many features from macOS’. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen what Apple has planned for future versions of iPadOS, other than making it work more like a conventional desktop operating system in docked mode.

Source: The Independent

Apple will hold off from delivering these major iPadOS changes until 2024. Purportedly, Final Cut Pro could be headed to Apple’s tablet OS next year, as well as dual 6K/60 Hz external display support. Logic Pro may not arrive for another year, though. As always, we would recommend exercising some scepticism over these rumours for now, given that some are over a year away. In the meantime, Apple is expected to introduce iPadOS 17 next month at WWDC 2023, which will run between June 5 and June 9.

Apple iPad Ultra – Specifications & Probable Release Date

According to a source, the Apple iPad Ultra is priced at Rs. 126,900 as the official launch price. This is of course subject to change as the official date of release is confirmed depending on external factors. Right now the official estimated date is said to be September 20, 2023 but sources have lobbied saying that the release will be somewhere in 2024 and definitely not in 2023.

Specifications –

Display: Of course, we start with the 16.0 inch (40.64 cm) OLED display with 257 pixels per inch (PPI).

Camera: The primary camera boasts 12MP + 12MP dual mode with the possibility of Autoflash and LED flash optimization.

Battery: The new Apple iPad Ultra will have a 12500 Li-polymer mAh battery with the option of fast charge.

Performance: In terms of performance there’s galore to celebrate as you get the Octa core (3.49 GHz, Quad core + 2.4 GHz, Quad core) processor with the Apple M2/M3 Chipset (M3 if some sources are to be believed) and 16GB RAM.

Apple Watch Zoomed In & Zoomed Out – Zoom Bug Fix Step By Step

Starting with watchOS 7, Apple introduced a new feature called “Magnifier” on the Apple Watch, which allows you to zoom in and out on the screen. Sometimes The Apple Watch screen can zoom in so far that you can’t see or do anything properly. Sometimes it seems like this happens without you doing anything. It’s as though your watch automatically zooms in on its own.

Source: Alphr

The obvious solution is to zoom out. However, your Apple Watch appears to get stuck and refuses to zoom out making it unusable. Most owners reboot their watch to fix the problem. The frustrating thing is a reboot only appears to be a temporary solution and the issue reappears. This means constant reboots which is a real pain.

Don’t panic – there are a number of easy fixes that prevent this Apple Watch zoom in mode from being enabled on your Apple Watch. But before you move on to the magnifier and other steps, figure out if you have the following, which might be hampering the screen forcing it to zoom in without you even touching the watch.

  • A screen protector might be triggering the zoom
  • Case protection might push the display against the glass protecting it causing the Apple Watch zoom
  • Accidental double tap gestures might enable the screen to auto-zoom
  • Zoom accessibility shortcut turned on

Source: DC Rainmaker

Here’s how you can use this to see whether your Apple Watch is zoomed in or out:

  1. To Open the Control Center: On your Apple Watch, swipe up from the bottom of the watch face to access the Control Center.
  2. To Find and tap on the Magnifier icon: In the Control Center, locate the magnifying glass icon. It looks like a magnifying glass with a plus (+) and minus (-) sign.
  3. To Zoom In: To zoom in, you can either rotate the Digital Crown upwards or swipe up on the screen with your finger. The screen will start zooming in, allowing you to see a magnified view.
  4. To Zoom Out: To zoom out, you can either rotate the Digital Crown downwards or swipe down on the screen with your finger. The screen will start zooming out, returning to the regular view.
  5. To Adjust Zoom Level: If you want to adjust the zoom level further, you can continue rotating the Digital Crown or swipe up/down on the screen until you achieve the desired level of magnification.
  6. To Exit Magnifier: To exit the Magnifier mode, simply press the Digital Crown or tap on the “X” icon at the top left corner of the screen.

If you’re experiencing issues with zooming in and out on your Apple Watch, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to fix your Apple Watch zoom bug.

Safari Running Slow On Mac? Here Are Some Tips To Fix This Problem

If in comparison we were to talk about the type of performance the Safari browser provides on a MacBook, then we will find that it is not only the finest but one of the fastest web browsers to function but even it can get compromised at times. This may leave you with a jittery experience when it gets stuck or your Mac keeps freezing or crashing again and again. For example, Safari is slow loading pages, it stops loading halfway with text strewn across the screen and images in the wrong place. Or some web pages are loading forever before you’re able to actually read the content. Other times, it may be just that Safari runs extremely slow after the Monterey update(remember the pitfalls of a shiny new macOS?)

Source: Apple Insider

In this blog, we will mention ways to fix this problem and look at the possible reasons before to understand what you can do to keep such a problem at bay for the next time. So, without any delay, let’s get started.

Ways To Boost Your Lagging Safari Experience / Boosting Safari’s Speed On Mac

If Safari is running slowly on your Mac, there are a few things you can try to fix but before you do, start by checking your internet connection. Why? If webpages in Safari take too long to load or fail, it’s a good idea to begin by figuring out if it’s just a matter of your internet being slow. The best way to do that is to use an online speed checker like Fast.com or SpeedTest.net.

Source: Beeborn

Rest, here are the fixes that you can normally try out to restore the speed and working of your Safari browser or if you’re stuck on the Safari loading page:

  1. Clear the cache: Safari stores website data in cache to load the site faster. However, if the cache becomes too large, it can slow down Safari. To clear the cache, open Safari and go to Safari > Preferences > Privacy. Then click on “Manage Website Data” and select “Remove All.” Mac Clear cache helps restore the balance of your MacBook and allows for smoother functioning.
  2. Disable extensions: Extensions can also slow down Safari by increasing the overall load on the CPU and RAM. To disable extensions, go to Safari > Preferences > Extensions and turn off any extensions that you don’t need.
  3. Update Safari: Make sure that you’re using the latest version of Safari. Go to the App Store and check for updates. If there’s an update available, install it.
  4. Close unnecessary tabs: If you have too many tabs open in Safari, it can slow down the browser. Close any tabs that you don’t need.
  5. Restart your Mac: Sometimes, simply restarting your Mac can help fix any performance issues with Safari.
  6. Reset Safari: If none of the above solutions work, you can try resetting Safari. This will clear all website data, history, and preferences. To reset Safari, go to Safari > Preferences > Privacy and click on “Remove All Website Data” and “Reset Safari.”
  7. Shut Down Apps: Yes, this is one of the ways if none of the simpler ways are working. Check on your Mac’s dock and quit anything that you’re not using but is running in the background. Some apps may go unresponsive so you can try force-quitting these problems. On the other hand, you can also use the Activity Monitor to locate each application and find out the amount of power and memory it is conceding from your system.

By trying these solutions, you should be able to improve the performance of Safari on your Mac but if your Mac keeps crashing despite the above-mentioned efforts, then it time for you to contact a top Apple repair service in your city and consult technical experts who can give you a better solution by checking or repairing your MacBook.

Important Tips To Remember

  1. Certain Websites Are Slow Despite All Efforts: by certain websites, we mean “heavy” sites that are loaded with flash or video ads on the pages you browse. Worse yet, some even auto-play without you clicking on. They tend to have your MacBook heat up quickly. The best option is to close those pages immediately when you finish reading the content on it, or you could install AdBlock Plus (Safari compatible) to block the ads from displaying.
  2. Multitasking May Not Always Help: you’d be surprised how much better 90% of programs work when you don’t try and use them at the same time as a dozen other apps. It seems like a simple solution, but it is often the best one.
  3. Clean-up Is Important From Time To Time: some methods are a matter of habit, such as regularly clearing your cache or making sure the app is up to date. Imagine your computer as a car that needs regular maintenance to run well.
  4. Don’t Neglect You Mac: Macs are not immune to viruses, despite the common perception. They also aren’t immune to file corruption or errors. Make sure you haven’t picked up anything unwanted while browsing that could be affecting the performance of Safari on Mac.

iPhone Microphone Not Working – Quick Fix Options You Have

iPhones are smartphones, which form the most premium segment of our smartphone market in the country. Barring a few base models, most iPhone Pro and Pro Max models are revered as the top devices in terms of usage, battery, performance, and security. What tops all this is the legit Apple care and other Apple-associated services that users get overtime. The fact that most iPhones don’t deteriorate even after being used extensively for 2-3 years makes them worth the price and there are hoards of people actively investing in an iPhone compared to those who go for other devices because of their low price points. But at times, it is difficult to get your point across during a phone call because of a microphone issue. A lot of users face this issue because of a faulty microphone or because there is an accumulation of dirt, dust, and other natural agents causing the microphone sensor to get blocked or damaged. But the iPhone microphone not working problem may not be limited to just that – there are other reasons why this error pops up frequently in iPhones.

Source: OSXDaily

In this blog, we are going to talk about some of the reasons why iPhone microphones are not working or why there is an issue of microphone low sound output while listening to songs, surfing the net, or casually watching YouTube. Let’s get going.

Source: Business Insider

Before moving on to the troubleshooting options and costing, you must figure out which microphone is causing the problem. For example, the iPhone 11 Series has 4 distinct microphones – 2 on the charging jack (for taking normal calls or when on loudspeaker), one on the ear speaker (gets activated for taking video calls from front cam), and the last one in the power flex cable (gets activated to record voice when you record videos from the back camera)

Why Your iPhone Microphone Not Working?

There are several reasons why your iPhone microphone is not working. Here are some common reasons:

  1. Physical damage: If your iPhone has been dropped or subjected to physical trauma, the microphone may be damaged and not working properly.
  2. Software issues: A software glitch or bug may be causing the microphone to malfunction. This can sometimes be fixed by restarting your iPhone or updating the iOS software.
  3. App settings: If the microphone is not working in a particular app, it may be due to the app’s settings. Make sure the microphone is enabled in the app’s settings.
  4. Blockages or debris: The microphone hole on your iPhone may be blocked by debris or other objects, preventing it from working properly.
  5. Bluetooth interference: If you have a Bluetooth headset or other audio device connected to your iPhone, it may be interfering with the microphone.
  6. Restrictions settings: The microphone may be disabled in your iPhone’s restrictions settings. Make sure it is enabled.
  7. Hardware issues: In rare cases, there may be a hardware issue with your iPhone’s microphone that requires repair or replacement.

How to fix iPhone Microphone Not Working?

When your iPhone is not working, try these troubleshooting options before visiting an expert if the problem persists:

Source: User Guide

  1. Restart your iPhone: Sometimes a simple restart can fix the issue. Press and hold the power button until the “slide to power off” option appears. Slide the button to turn off the iPhone, and then turn it back on again after a few seconds.
  2. Check the app settings: If the microphone is not working in a particular app, check the app’s settings to make sure the microphone is enabled.
  3. Update iOS: If your iPhone is running an older version of iOS, updating to the latest version may fix the microphone issue.
  4. Reset all settings: If none of the above options work, try resetting all settings on your iPhone. This will not erase any data, but it will reset all settings to their default values.
  5. Contact Apple Support: If the problem persists, you may need to contact Apple support for further assistance. This is more helpful when your iPhone is under warranty otherwise you might have to spend a hefty price for availing their repair services.

Apart from this, you can also try the iPhone microphone setting test. This test is a feature within the iPhone’s settings that allows you to test the functionality of your microphone. This can help diagnose any issues you may be experiencing with your microphone, such as low volume, distortion, or no sound at all.

Source: 9to5Mac

To access the microphone setting test, follow these steps:

  1. Open the “Settings” app on your iPhone.
  2. Scroll down and select “Privacy.”
  3. Tap on “Microphone.”
  4. You will see a list of apps that have requested access to your microphone. Make sure that the switch next to each app is turned on if you want to allow the app to access your microphone.
  5. At the bottom of the screen, you will see a section labelled ‘Allow Access When Locked.’ Turn this switch on if you want to allow apps to access your microphone when your iPhone is locked.
  6. To test your microphone, exit the ‘Settings’ app and open the ‘Voice Memos’ app.
  7. Tap the red record button and speak into your iPhone’s microphone.
  8. After a few seconds, tap the stop button and play back the recording to check the quality of the sound.

If you hear clear and audible sound in the playback, your microphone is working properly. If the sound is distorted or there is no sound at all, there may be an issue with your microphone that requires further troubleshooting or repair.

iPhone Microphone Repair Costs

On an average, iPhone microphone repair price or the cost of repair can vary depending on the model of the iPhone and the location of the repair service. Generally, the cost can vary depending on what service you’re availing. If you’re going for an iPhone charging jack replacement then the cost can be anywhere between Rs. 3000 to 10,000. This may not include GST and that may be levied separately by an authorised repair service.

If the problem exists in the earpiece of the device then you may have to go for an ear speaker replacement.

It is recommended that you contact an authorised Apple service provider in your area to get an accurate estimate for the repair cost. You can also check with third-party repair shops, but be sure to choose a reputable and reliable service that guarantees the use of only Apple-certified OEM parts.

Is There A Flip iPhone On The 2023 Menu?

Well, last year there were claims that the iPhone’s future could uphold a flip version of the classic iPhone we saw years ago or a reboot of the iPhone X or XR. But contrary to these rumours, there’s no development in this space and nothing can confirm so far that a flip iPhone is on its way in 2023. Add to that the fact that Apple has never officially commented or given information about any plan to enter the race for a slot with a foldable technology. But on the flip side, they’ve filed a few patents for foldable and flippable tech, meaning they’re experimenting with the idea if not anything more.

As per Android Authority, renowned tech analyst Ming-Chi-Quo has claimed that a foldable iPhone is very much a possibility in the year 2025 if not today. What the future beholds is difficult to say but one thing is for sure that netizens are clearly very excited for the iPhone 15 series to make its way to the top stores.

iOS 17 – Everything You Need To Know From Release Date, Leaks, And More

When it comes to the sauciest and the juiciest gossip from the world of Apple and iPhones, there’s nothing bigger than an incoming iPhone operating system (iOS) or a new version’s release coming round the corner. The world of iOS and Apple in general is so specific with their updates, additions, and new versions that there’s an excitement within the Apple community and even outside where news portals are full of gossip, leaks, and whatnot! That is now the case as we draw closer to the release of iOS 17.

Source: MacRumors

But then how do you know what to believe and what not to believe? What are the trustworthy sources you can believe and which ones should be avoided completely? Well, for starters you can read this blog and find out the genuine news related to iOS 17. So let us begin!

First things first, what’s the iOS 17 Release Date in India?

iOS 17 Release Date

The iOS 17 release date was expected to be somewhere in the month of June after the WWDC conference gave us enough hints and now we know for sure that iOS 17 will be launched at the annual Worldwide Developer Conference from June 5 to June 9. This will be done via a special one-person event where a dignitary or Apple official, most probably Tim Cook, will come forward to release the new iOS 17.

Source: Digital Trends

Though iOS 17 beta access will roll-out immediately, believes iMore, it is said that the official version of the iOS 17 will only be available for users later this year in September. It is understood that the iOS 17 will roll-out only after the launch of the iPhone 15 series so that automatically means September.

iOS 17 Supported Devices

After the release date, the most worrisome piece of news for Apple users is to find out whether their older devices will be able to support the new iOS 17 update or will there be a pressure from Apple to get users to upgrade to newer models. Might work as a tactical move but might also fall flat considering how Apple moves from one flagship to the other in a matter of 365 days flat.

So if you’re worried about the iOS 17 supported device list, you should start by knowing that the iOS 17 will be readily available on the yesteryear iPhone 12 and 13 series and will function full-throttle in the flagship iPhone 14 series and the upcoming iPhone 15 series. We saw that Apple discontinued support for a few iPhones after the launch of iOS 16, namely the iPhone 6S and iPhone 7 series and it is believed that they might go a step further when they finally decide to launch iOS 17.

Source: Digital Trends

This might see Apple pull their support from the iPhone 8 or iPhone X series. Though Apple may pull away from all models with the A11 bionic chips, it may still be possible that they roll out the latest iPhone Operating System for these models.

iOS 17 Features (Probable)

According to sources, these are some of the reliable features that will most probably come out with the release of iOS 17. Some features might be subject to changes after Apple completes their trial, testing, and error tests in their bunkers. These are the iOS 17 features you can look forward to:

Side-Loading Third-Party Applications

Though this feature might be delayed in India, European and American users may get side-loading options for third-party applications like the Alt Store in iOS 17. This comes after European legislation made it mandatory for Apple to open their operating-systems to third-party applications.

VR Reality Pro Headset Support

Next up, it was rumoured that Apple’s VR Headset is prepping for a big launch, it is expected that Apple will provide support for its newest offering to gel well with the everpresent iPhones.

Third-Party Browsers

Apart from side-loading third-party applications, there’s more fun for third-party platforms as Bloomberg reports that Apple can remove the requirement for third-party browsers to use WebKit. Under the new mandate, Apple may very well remove this obligation to use WebKit.

CarPlay

The next generation Car-Play will likely be released in September as the iOS 17 will be rolled out. The 2023 update will allow Car-Play to provide multi-display support, instrument cluster integration (info on speed, fuel level, engine temperature, oil pressure, and other navigational features), and other widgets for Climate control, FM radio, etc.

Others Fixes and Updates

Goes without saying Apple will release updates for all the bugs and glitches that people experienced with iOS 16 and with these there will be a lot of optimizations that are being rumoured. You can look for other updates in your iPhone to know what to expect from the release of iOS 17.

There are other CarPlay updates, revamping of the Control Center, and other such additions that will be a part of iOS 17, reports MacRumors . You can stay tuned and continue to read our blogs for the latest updates, happenings, and announcements related to Apple and OnePlus.
